Dashboards in MotilityAnywhere allow you to see information about different areas of the business. The KPI dashboards contain information about Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that help you see efficiency.
Dashboard Security
Dashboard access is determined by the levels applied in the Report Security Levels and by the security group or security user's security level for the relevant reports.
For example, if the user is set with CRM Reporting Level 2 permission, but the information for the KPI CRM Advertising Leads dashboard is set to Report Security Level 3, then the user will be unable to view the dashboard information.
If you are seeing a message similar to the one below, reach out to your administrator and provide them with the dashboard name to request access.
Using Dashboards
When you open the dashboard module, the list of dashboards will show on the left side of the page. Clicking over a dashboard option in the menu will update your screen to show that specific dashboard.
Dashboard Navigation
In the upper right of the page are several buttons.
- The pie chart button allows you to change between viewing and editing dashboards.
- The box with the upward-pointing arrow allows you to export the dashboard information. You can choose to export to PDF, an image file (PNG, GIF, JPG), or Microsoft Excel (XLS, XLSX).
- The sliders button allows you to set parameters for the dashboard.
- The house button sets the dashboard that you are currently viewing as the default dashboard. This is the dashboard that will open for you when first accessing the dashboard module.
- The link button will copy the URL of the dashboard. This will open a URL that, when you double-click over it, will be copied. You can paste this URL into emails, chats, etc. to share the dashboard with your parameters.
IMPORTANT: If you send the URL to someone who does not have security permissions to view the dashboard, they will not be able to view the dashboard.
Component Navigation
When hovering over an individual chart, graph, or table on a dashboard, you will be able to see scrollbars and several buttons in the upper right.
- The box with the upward-pointing arrow allows you to export the dashboard information. You can choose to export to PDF, an image file (PNG, GIF, JPG), or Microsoft Excel (XLS, XLSX).
- The multiple selection checkbox icon allows you to choose more than one option on the component. This is not available for all dashboard components.
- The expand icon allows you to expand the size of the component. Once selected, the icon will change to the restore icon (below). You can click over the restore icon to return the component to its original size.
Set Parameters
When you run reports or view dashboards, setting parameters lets you define more detailed information you wish to view. Parameters can be different for each dashboard and may include profit centers, date ranges, and more.
Clicking over the parameters button in the upper right of the dashboard will open a popup window. The options shown on the window will vary based on the dashboard you are viewing.
Select one or more parameters for the dashboard, then click the Submit button to update the dashboard view.
If you need to reset parameters that you have set, click the Reset button in the popup. This will clear the parameters and allow you to enter different parameter information.
