MotilityAnywhere mobile allows employees to access the MotilityAnywhere program in a limited capacity from their phone or tablet. The mobile site has been optimized for smaller screens. To access this site, simply open your dealership's MotilityAnywhere URL in your mobile device's web browser.
Note: We recommend using the Google Chrome browser.
Company Location Selection
Click over the location dropdown at the top of the page to choose the location.
Opening the main view for parts and service will show the service invoice list.
Pull Up Menu
The pull up menu is available on any of the service screens. This can be accessed by tapping over the black bar at the bottom of the window and dragging toward the top of the window.

The pull up menu in the parts and service module offers several options:
Change Layout
If you wish to rearrange the list, you may drag and drop the columns to put them into the order you prefer and tap the Save Layout button to hold your changes.
To undo all changes and revert the list to the default, tap the Clear Layout button.
New Repair Order
Selecting the New Repair Order button will open a new, blank RO.
Invoicing
Selecting the Service Invoicing button will open the service invoice list.
My Repairs
Selecting this link will open the Mechanic Clock, showing a list of invoices that have you assigned as the mechanic on one or more repairs.
Note: The security permission Automatically Log In To Mechanic Mode will force this list to show when accessing the service invoice list.
Mechanic Clock
Selecting this link will open a list of invoices that you are assigned as the mechanic to, on one or more repairs.
You may enter filters into the column header, sort by clicking over the column header text, or drag and drop to rearrange the headers. Once you have made changes, select the Save Layout button in the lower right.
Double-tap over an invoice in the list to open the repair order.
You can choose the job you wish to update by tapping over the Job dropdown at the top, then tapping to choose the job number in the list.
You may need to scroll down the screen to clock into a job by selecting the Clock In button at the bottom of the screen.
Scroll back up to enter the job complaint, cause, and correction. Depending on your preference and device, you may type into these boxes or be able to use voice-to-text.
If you need to submit a parts request, click the Parts Request button. This will open the parts requests list.
New RO
Choosing the new repair order button will open a new, blank RO. You can enter the RO information by following the steps for MotilityAnywhere.
The security permissions listed below will impact your ability to open new ROs and add jobs to them:

- [SERVICE] Start New Repair Order
- [INVOICING] Restricted From Creating A New Job
Service Invoices
Choosing to open the service invoicing list will show all of the repair orders for the dealership. You may select which type of invoices you wish to view by selecting the type dropdown at the top of the screen. The available options include quotes, open or closed invoices, and voided repair orders.
You may enter filters into the list's column headers, sort by clicking over the column header text, or drag and drop to rearrange the headers. Once you have made changes, select the Save Layout button in the lower right.
Double-tapping over an invoice in the list will open the invoice for viewing. You can follow the steps to edit the RO information by following the steps for MotilityAnywhere.
Parts Scanner
In the mobile view of MotilityAnywhere, there is a part scanner to allow you to count inventory by scanning barcodes. You may enter a bin location and part quantity, then scan parts using your mobile device. You can then upload the file of barcodes, bins and quantities on a computer to update a physical inventory count.
Note: The mobile devices supported for this feature include IOS devices capable of running IOS 11 or greater, the Samsung J3 or greater phone, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2017 model 9”.
Important: Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2016 7” model is NOT SUPPORTED. (The key is the camera needs to be auto focusing.) |
On a Mobile Device
- Open the MotilityAnywhere URL on your mobile device.
- Locate and click over the Part Scanner under the Parts and Service section. This will open the parts scanner window.
- Enter a Scan Name.
- Click the New Scan button in the lower right.
- Optionally, you can enter the bin location where the part is located.
- Enter the quantity of the part.
- Click the Scan Next Barcode button.
IMPORTANT: If your device has automatically blocked site access to your device's camera, you will need to allow the site to access your camera to be able to scan barcode labels. |
- Align the barcode you wish to scan with your device's camera. The barcode will scan and be shown in the Barcode field.
- To scan the next part's barcode, verify the bin location.
- Enter the part quantity.
- Align the barcode you wish to scan with your device's camera.
- Choose the Scan a New Barcode button.
- When you have finished scanning the parts, select the End Scan button in the lower right. This will save the scanned barcode file.
On a Computer
Note: The security permission [PHYSICAL INVENTORY] Import Physical Inventory Parts From File will need to be selected for the user(s) who will import barcode scans to a physical inventory count.
- Open the Parts & Service module.
- Choose the Parts Physical Inventory link from the menu on the left side of the screen. This option is under the parts maintenance tools.
- Choose an open physical inventory by double-clicking over it in the list, or start a new inventory count by choosing the Start New Physical button in the lower left.
- This will open the Physical Inventory screen. It will show the physical inventory you selected.
- Select the Import/Export button at the bottom of the window.
This will open the Physical Count Import/Export window.
- Choose the Scan Import tab. This will show a list of your barcode scans.
- Click once over the row to select the scan that you want to import.
- Click the Import button. This will open a small popup confirmation that the scan has imported.
- Click OK on the popup confirmation to close. This will return you to the Physical Count Import/Export window.
- Select the Exit button. This will return you to the physical inventory screen. The parts that were imported will show.
You may follow the Physical Inventory process to complete the count.
