  1. Open the parts/service module.
  2. Click the Edit menu in the upper left of the screen.
  3. Hover over Modify to expand the submenu.
  4. Choose the Parts/service Item Types option.

  1. Select the department from the dropdown to find the rate you would like to change.
  2. Update the rate by typing in the new rate.
  3. Click Ok to save the change.

Dealership Customer Labor Override

If your internal jobs are pulling up at an incorrect rate and you have followed the steps above, you may need to check the amount set on the Dealership Customer.

  1. Open the parts/service module.
  2. Click the Edit menu in the upper left of the screen.
  3. Hover over Modify to expand the submenu.
  4. Hover over Sources to expand the submenu.
  5. Choose the Dealership Customer option. This will open the dealership customer window.

  1. Update the amount entered into the Labor Rate Override field.
  2. Click the Apply button in the lower right.
  3. If you have more than one dealership customer, you can move to the next one by selecting the blue arrow in the upper left of this window.
  4. When you have finished correcting the labor overrides, select the Ok button to close this window.

Change Mechanic Hourly Rate

Hourly rates can be set for mechanics individually. This sets up how much the mechanic costs the dealership per hour worked on specific job types.

  1. Open the Employee Setup module.
  2. Locate the mechanic you wish to update from the list of employees on the left side of the window and click over the row to highlight. This will update the right side of the window with the mechanic's information.
  3. Select the Mechanic tab.

  1. Enter the hourly rate per job type for the employee.
  2. When done, click the Save button at the bottom of the window.
  3. Select the Exit button to exit the employee window, or select another employee from the list to the left.

Security Permission

If you are trying to update the labor rate on an individual invoice and are unable to, please check the Parts & Service module security permission:

[DISCOUNT:] Restricted From Discounting Service Repairs

This permission should not be checked to allow manual labor overrides.
