Departments are used to help categorize where your accounting transactions are coming from. They are used in reporting.
- Open any module.
- Click over the icon of a person in the upper right of the screen.
- Choose the Settings option from the menu. This will open a screen where you can apply settings at different levels.
- Select the App Settings tab.
- Click the Accounting subtab on the left side of the screen.
- Choose the GL Departments option.
- The system comes pre-loaded with a list of departments and worksheets. The MotilityAnywhere program allows you to enter new departments or modify existing departments. To add a new department, click the Add New Record button to the upper right of the list.
- Enter a department name.
- Enter the worksheet. This designates which column the department will show under when viewing the DMS External Statement.
- Click the Update button to the right of the row.
