Unit Inventory - Custom Screen

The custom screen allows you to create a tab to show only the fields you want to use. This can include standard fields on other tabs or unit customization fields.

Note: There can be several default custom tabs for your dealership. Once you have your unit types entered, please contact the support team to have these turned on.

1. From any module in MotilityAnywhere, select the user icon in the upper right of the screen to open the menu.
2. Choose the Settings option from the menu. This will open a screen where, depending on your security permissions, you may view or update company settings.
3. Select the App Settings tab.
4. Click the Unit Inventory subtab on the left side of the screen.
5. Click once over the Add / Modify Custom Screen section. This will expand the section.

6. To add a new tab, click the Add New Custom Tab button. To edit an existing tab, choose it from the Select Custom Tab dropdown.
7. Enter a description for the tab.
8. If you want the tab to show for only a specific unit type, select the unit type from the dropdown selection.
9. Enter the number of columns to show on the tab. We recommend 3 or 4 columns as a starting point.
10. Enter the number of rows to show on the tab. This can allow you to show blank rows to help separate the custom fields.
11. Check the default box if you want this tab to be shown by default.
12. Click the Save button to save the new tab.
13. To add fields to the tab, select the Add Field button to the upper right of the table. This will create a new, blank row.

14. Select either a field or a custom field from the left two columns.
15. Optionally, you may enter a caption for the field.
16. Designate the column and row where you wish the field to show on the tab. Please bear in mind the number of columns and rows you set in steps 9 and 10.
17. If this will be a required field, change the input required option to "true".
18. If you wish to limit possible responses to the list, change the limit to list option to "true".
19. Click in the relevant field to update the label, font, or background colors.
20. Choose the Update button on the row to save your changes.

Unit Type Custom Tab Cross Reference

You can use the same tab for multiple unit types. For example, you may want to use the RV Motorized custom tab for Class A, Class B, and Class C units. The unit type cross reference screen allows you to match the custom tab with the unit type(s).

21. Choose the Unit Type Cross Reference button shown at the bottom of the Custom Screen table. This will open the Custom Tab Cross Reference window.
22. Click the Add New Record button in the upper right. This will add a new, blank line to the table.
23. Select the Unit Type dropdown to select the unit type.
24. Click the Custom Tab dropdown to select the tab you wish to show for the type you chose.
25. Choose the Update button on the row to save your changes.
