Accounting transactions for units are tied to different fields in the unit profile. This article reviews those specific fields.
The Purchase Date of the unit will be the date of the purchase in accounting.
On the unit's financial tab, the Purchase Price and Floorplan Balance should be equal when first entering the unit.
Use the Additional Cost field to balance a payable to a separate supplier, like a freight company.
Add the Floor Acct. This should be a floorplan liability account (NF or UF).
