If you are using an iPhone, iPad, or Mac device, follow the steps below to add a shortcut for the mobile web to your home screen or desktop.
- Select the Safari or Google Chrome icon to open the main browser window.
- Go to the web page that you want to add as a Home screen icon. Select the Share button at the top of the browser window. It's represented by a square with an up arrow.
- In the window that opens, scroll across and select Add to Home Screen.
In the interface that opens, edit the name of the shortcut icon you are creating, if needed. This step is optional, but a short name is best. It represents the title that displays on the Home screen under the icon.
- Select Add to save the shortcut.
- Your iPad's Home screen now contains an icon that takes you directly to your chosen web page.
- If you have multiple home screens, it may appear on a screen that isn't filled.
