In many cases, you can sell a warranty, service contract, or other aftermarket products for a limited time to customers who recently purchased a unit. MotilityAnywhere allows you to do this by creating a deal for the aftermarket item.
- Open the Deal Desking module.
- Select the quick link to Start Quote or Start Deal on the left side of the screen. This will open the Choose Preset screen.
- Choose the appropriate preset to apply to the quote. The preset might be used for in-state vs. out-of-state quotes, or motorized vs. towable quotes, so you should pick best choice using the list in the upper left of this window.
- You may use the Entity Number, Last Name, First Name, and Company Name fields to search for the entity who will be purchasing.
- Click over the customer in the list below to select them.
- Click the Start New Quote or Start New Deal button in the lower right of the window. This opens the buyer’s information selection window.
- Click the Uncheck All Items button in the lower right to choose none of the items. (Since this is a deal to sell only the aftermarket item, you will not choose any Unit Preferences, Co-Buyers, Prospect Trades, and Personnel from the customer's CRM profile to add to this quote.)
- Click the Apply button in the lower right. This will close the window and open the quote or deal.
- Select the Units tab.
- Input the Year, Make, and Model of the unit that the customer already purchased.
IMPORTANT: Do not input the previously purchased unit's stock number into the deal. |
- Select the Quote tab.
- Scroll down to the Aftermarket subtab.
- Click the Sold box for the service contract, insurance or additional products that you wish to sell.
- Enter any additional information for the aftermarket item. This may include Term, Mileage limit, Deductible, and Contract Name.
- Select the Other Fees subtab to ensure that unrelated fees are removed by unchecking the sold box(es).
- Choose the Taxes tab to verify that the Titling Rate 1 section is filled out appropriately.
