If you entered this information in the prospect's CRM profile and started a deal from there, the unit information will be filled into the deal for you. If you choose to create a quote or deal without using the information from the prospect's profile, you can add the unit to the deal.
- Open the Deal Desking module.
- Locate your deal in the list, then double-click over the row to open the deal window.
- Click the Edit button in the lower right of the window to edit the deal.
-
Select the Units tab.
-
Current units will show in a list on the left side of the window. Click the Add Unit button to open a new, blank record.
-
If you know the stock number you wish to add, enter into the Stock Number field. If you wish to search for a unit, choose the Magnifying Glass next to the Stock Number field. This will open the Inventory Search window.
-
You can click the Find button to pull up a list of all units. Alternatively, you may enter a search term into the Search For field, set the criteria in the Search By field, and click the Find button to narrow your results.
- Click over a unit's row in the results list to select.
- Click the Confirm button in the lower right of the Inventory Search window. This will close the inventory search window and add the unit to the deal's unit tab.
- To add another unit to the deal, follow steps 5 through 9.
You may receive popup messages for the unit that you selected.
This popup may occur if you chose a unit with a VIN that does not match the standard format. This does not stop you from adding the unit to the deal and is triggered by a setting in the dealership's Company Settings.
This popup will open if you selected a unit that has already been sold. You may copy unit information with or without the VIN to be able to add the unit to the deal. This is helpful if you will be ordering a unit from the deal.
This popup may occur if you have started a standard deal or quote and choose to add a marine unit. Choosing yes on this popup will update the deal to a marine deal.
