Deal Presets are set up to populate commonly-used information into deals and quotes. The information can include taxes, fees, deal type, and more. Using deal presets helps ensure that this information is already correct when starting new quotes or deals. This can save your business lots of time.
Open Deal Preset
- Open the Deal Desking module.
- Select the option to Start Quote or Start Deal from the quicklinks menu on the left side of the screen. This will open the Start Quote window.
- Use the dropdown selection to choose the preset you want to change in the Step 1 section.
- In the lower right of the window, choose the button to Edit Preset. This will open the Deal Preset window.
- The preset may appear locked. To unlock the record, click over the Edit button to the lower right.
- Make any changes, then choose to save in the lower right of the window.

NOTE: The name of the preset must be entered in the Deal # field. The Quote number field should be "Preset" without quotations. |
Adjust Taxes on Deal Preset
Changing taxes in a deal preset will update all future deals that are created using that preset. The change can't affect older deals, only new deals created after the change is made.
- Click the Taxes tab.
- We recommend to set Titling Rate 1 with the dealership's state.
- Set your Local Taxing Authority rate to match the tax rates at the dealership's address.
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the window.
Adjust Fees on a Deal Preset
Changing fees in a deal preset will update all future deals that are created using that preset. The change can't affect older deals, only new deals created after the change is made.
- Click the Quote tab.
- Scroll down and choose the Other Fees tab on the left.
- Adjust the fee by changing the amount.
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the window.
